Lagom 

「Lagom」という言葉は、スウェーデン語にしかない素敵な表現で、「ちょうど良い」という意味を持ちます。語源は「Lag」（チーム）と「Om」（〜のために）の融合に由来し、皆の分になるようにという実際の意味が込められています。たとえば、「どのぐらい欲しいですか？」と尋ねられたときに、この言葉を使うと、ちょうど良い分が示されるのです。

この言葉の面白さは、社会契約（Social Contract）の考え方とも重なります。皆が過剰を求めず、適切な量を共有することで、健全な社会が形成されるという、社会主義の基本的な理念が感じられます。資本主義が行き過ぎると、こうした社会契約が壊れてしまい、本来の「Lagom」の意味が失われてしまうのです。
